Altos de Chavón and Higüey

DESCRIPTION

A beautiful excursion that goes through the city of Higüey, visiting our Basilica of Our Lady of Altagracia built in honor of our patron saint.

The village of Altos de Chavón was built by Mr. Charles Bludhorn, president of Golf & Western Corporation, who had the idea of building this Mediterranean village from the 16th century on the heights of the Chavón River.

The Altos de Chavón amphitheater has 5,000 seats. It was inaugurated in 1982 with the presentation of Frank Sinatra and Carlos Santana.
